The 100 Club was established in the late 70’s as an alternative method of raising much needed funds for the club. The 100 members each pay an annual subscription of £12 to enter the monthly draws. The prizes are £25 for 8 months of the year and 4 quarterly prizes of £100. Apart from the profit from the subscriptions, we raise funds through social events and catering for the fun regatta and events such as The Junior Interregional Trials. Our aim is to provide good quality home cooked food at reasonable prices. Our most popular events are the Burns Night, Italian Night and a sausage n’ mash night with themed quizzes.
We achieve healthy profits thanks to the committee members’ hard work and the support of our members, enabling us to make considerable donations to the club. In the past 6 years we have made a significant contribution towards 4 boats as well as £5,000 towards the new kitchen. We have donated £2,000 to the boat fund in 2013 and we are hoping to make a further donation in 2014.
