Peterborough Summer Regatta is held on the second weekend in August at our 1,000 metre rowing course near the heart of Peterborough. With quality racing, excellent facilities and our own bar, come and enjoy the summer at one of the best organised regattas in the UK (in our humble opinion!).
The next Peterborough Summer Regatta will be held on the 12th and 13th of August 2017.
We have worked hard to include as many entries as possible but inevitably have had to reject a good number. We do appreciate that there will be disappointment as a result but trust that you will understand that we could not accommodate everyone. In events where we had too many entries, priority was given to those for which payment of entry fees had been received at the time the draw started. In some cases we have had to reject paid entries and in these cases the last entries to be received have been rejected first. With a number of events there were not enough entries to run them in the context of an oversubscribed regatta. Refunds of entry fees paid for entries rejected will be refunded.
In addition, to help bring the number of races down to a manageable level we have taken the decision not to run mixed doubles on either day. We have however been able to keep in mixed 8’s and quads on the Sunday.
We have extended the racing day on Saturday by starting racing at 8.00am in order to fit in as many competitors as possible.
Please do not ask us to fit in any late entries to the regatta schedule.
For the Open events we have used Crew Ranking Index figures from BROE2 but have in some cases made adjustments to the placing of entries into the Tiers where the current CRI does not appear to reflect the quality of the crew/sculler. Our aim has been to ensure competitive racing as far as we can.
Car Parking – we expect that car parking space at the club will run out during the regatta and recommend competitors and spectators to use the car park at Orton Mere, off Oundle Road, and near to the start end of the rowing lake. From the car park you cross the river at the lock and a path leads to the rowing course. The postcode PE2 7DH will take you to Oundle Road and the entrance to Orton Mere is signposted at the traffic lights.
Full results will appear here at the end of each racing day. You can also follow the racing live on our Twitter page @P_C_R_C.
